Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada (Hybrid)

Salary: $160,000 — $220,000 CAD

What you will do

• Design, implement, and troubleshoot highly scalable backend services and APIs.
• Develop and maintain responsive user interfaces using modern web frameworks.
• Collaborate with Product Management to refine requirements and bridge the gap between user needs and technical implementation.
• Scope and plan engineering efforts across the full stack in coordination with engineering management.
• Partner with QA, Product, Tech Support, Documentation, and UX teams.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience building and deploying scalable, mission-critical software across both frontend and backend.
• Proficiency in at least one Object-Oriented Backend Language (e.g., Java, C#, Python, Go).
• Expertise in modern JavaScript/TypeScript and frontend frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).
• Strong understanding of RESTful API design.
• Experience working with high-scale systems.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of IAM protocols: OAuth, OpenID Connect, SAML, Federation, and SSO.
• Experience with server-side caching, asynchronous processing, and multi-threading.
• Proficiency in TDD or BDD methodologies.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
