TL;DR
Staff Platform Engineer (AWS): Building and maintaining enterprise-scale serverless platforms for a global CLM leader with an accent on cloud-native architecture and AI/LLM integration. Location: Remote (Must be based in Canada)

What you will do
- Build and maintain enterprise software applications within a serverless AWS ecosystem.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and AI engineers to develop bottom-up solutions for novel problems.
- Design and optimize cloud-engineering architecture, Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) stacks, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Improve internal developer tools, workflows, and best practices to enhance team efficiency.
- Mentor junior team members and lead incident response and disaster recovery efforts.
- Integrate commercial LLM APIs to enhance product capabilities and scalability.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 8 years of professional experience as a software engineer.
- Minimum of 3 years in a tech lead, architecture lead, or management role.
- Proficiency with Python and cloud-native AWS services (API Gateway, Lambda, DynamoDB).
- Deep understanding of Git, Postgres, CloudFormation/SAM, Docker/ECS, and GitHub Actions.
- Must be based in Canada.
Nice to have
- Experience building applications on top of LLMs using commercial APIs.
- Expertise in Postgres query optimization and database indexing.
- Familiarity with Python data science libraries such as numpy, scipy, scikit-learn, or pandas.
- Interest in application and cloud security.
