Location: Hybrid (Cambridge, UK). Teams work in the office Monday through Thursday; Fridays are flexible for remote work.

What you will do

• Design and build high-performance APIs and backend services using Spring Boot to support audience management workflows.
• Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL workflows using Apache Spark and Apache Airflow.
• Optimize data storage, retrieval, and processing systems using ScyllaDB and Aerospike.
• Architect and maintain large-scale, low-latency API systems deployed via Kubernetes.
• Collaborate with Machine Learning and Ad Sales teams to deliver integrated, production-grade data products.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers to promote best practices.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in software or data engineering.
• Deep expertise in big data technologies, specifically Apache Spark and Apache Airflow.
• Strong proficiency in Java, Python, and/or Scala.
• Experience with NoSQL infrastructure, preferably ScyllaDB or Aerospike.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems architecture and SOLID principles.
• Must be based in or able to work from the Cambridge, UK office (hybrid schedule).

Nice to have

• Experience in AdTech, specifically within advertising data platforms.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Jenkins and Terraform.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Experience building Agentic AI systems to automate analytics workflows.
