TL;DR

Contracts Counsel (Adtech): Managing the drafting, review, and negotiation of complex technology and data licensing agreements with an accent on SaaS contracts and data privacy compliance. Focus on scaling legal processes, mitigating commercial risk, and partnering with revenue-generating teams to enable business transactions.

An online trust and safety platform that protects businesses, consumers, and children from deceptive, fraudulent, and non-compliant mobile, CTV apps, and websites.

What you will do

  • Draft and negotiate commercial agreements, including SaaS, data licensing, MSAs, SOWs, and NDAs.
  • Act as the primary legal point of contact for Sales and Business Development on all contract-related matters.
  • Develop and maintain standard contract templates and playbooks to streamline the contracting process.
  • Advise internal stakeholders on risk allocation, liability exposure, IP ownership, and data privacy obligations (GDPR, CCPA).
  • Manage the end-to-end contract lifecycle, including tracking, execution, renewals, and amendments.
  • Support corporate governance activities, including board resolutions and entity maintenance.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) and admission to at least one U.S. state bar.
  • 3–7 years of relevant legal experience focusing on commercial and technology transactions.
  • Demonstrated experience negotiating complex SaaS, data licensing, API, and platform agreements.
  • Solid understanding of data privacy law (GDPR, CCPA/CPRA).
  • Proficiency with contract lifecycle management (CLM) tools and legal technology platforms.

Nice to have

  • Experience in the adtech, martech, digital media, or data intelligence space.
  • Knowledge of programmatic advertising, RTB, or connected TV (CTV) platforms.
  • Familiarity with MRC standards or IAB frameworks.
  • Exposure to IP licensing, open-source compliance, or AI/ML data use agreements.
