Salary: $190,000–$220,000 per year

What you will do

• Establish patterns for spec-driven development, context engineering, and multi-agent orchestration to compound team output.
• Design and maintain AI-powered services focusing on high availability, performance, and reliability.
• Build low-latency, high-throughput ML services optimized for cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with ML Engineers to move capabilities from R&D prototypes to scalable production stacks.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives and mentor engineers to elevate the team's technical bar.
• Enhance the internal ML platform, facilitate data sourcing, and enable observability for deployed services.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software development with a strong backend and ML engineering background.
• Fluency with agentic coding tools (Claude Code, Codex, or equivalent), including managing repo context and verifying agent output.
• Experience with cloud-native technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Proven track record of building and operating ML systems at scale in production.
• Strong software architecture skills for designing distributed systems and cloud-based applications.
• Must be based in or work on-site at the Mountain View HQ on a daily basis.

Nice to have

• Experience with ML frameworks like PyTorch.
• Experience serving ML models and LLMs using frameworks like vLLM.
• Experience building intuitive APIs for developer-facing products.
