What you will do

• Architect, develop, and maintain scalable, secure backend systems for a mobile app.
• Design and implement real-time communication, geolocation services, and data storage solutions.
• Build and optimize APIs to ensure a smooth and responsive mobile experience.
• Establish CI/CD pipelines and testing/deployment strategies for efficient development workflows.
• Collaborate with mobile engineers for seamless frontend-backend integration.
• Participate in key decisions regarding the tech stack, infrastructure, and team processes.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in backend development, preferably with consumer-facing mobile apps.
• Strong expertise in Java and scalable backend architectures.
• Experience implementing RESTful and WebSocket-based APIs.
• Proficiency with PostgreSQL (or similar) and geolocation tools like PostGIS.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and Docker.
• English: Upper intermediate (B2) level required.

Nice to have

• Java Oracle Certification (Associate/Professional/Master).
• Knowledge of Russian.
• Contributions to open-source projects.
