What you will do

• Define technology roadmaps and engineering standards, driving adoption across teams.
• Design, develop, and implement robust API services for growing European customer base.
• Research and adopt new technologies, best practices, and innovations.
• Analyze complex ecosystem, determine optimal approaches, and drive changes.
• Mentor and coach engineers, contribute to code reviews and technical designs.
• Identify, prioritize, and remediate technical debt; debug issues across the stack.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders.

Requirements

• Legal authorization to work in Poland required; no visa sponsorship.
• Extensive experience building backend services professionally.
• Deep knowledge of software design patterns, API design, and development lifecycle.
• Proven influence on architecture of complex, distributed systems handling data at scale.
• Understanding of REST, service-based architecture, and distributed systems.
• Experience with Java, SQL, and AWS.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Elasticsearch.
• Demonstrable knowledge of using AI in engineering.
• Interest or experience in financial industry or wealth management.
