DataOps Engineer

TL;DR

DataOps Engineer (Kubernetes/Spark): Designing and building a data infrastructure from scratch with an accent on Airflow, Spark, and Trino integration on Kubernetes. Focus on establishing a high-performance data platform, migrating Tableau to new infrastructure, and developing scalable CI/CD Helm templates.

Location: Temporary Remote with mandatory future relocation to Limassol, Cyprus

What you will do

• Design and build the entire data infrastructure from scratch, taking full ownership of architectural decisions.
• Deploy and maintain VLogs and VMetrics.
• Implement and set up Iceberg and DataGov catalogs.
• Deploy Airflow on Kubernetes and integrate it with Spark, configuring Spark History Server, Spark Connect, and SparkOperator.
• Deploy and administer Trino.
• Migrate Tableau to a new infrastructure and develop CI/CD Helm chart templates.

Requirements

• Production experience with Kubernetes (k8s).
• Solid understanding of data platform tools such as Airflow, Spark, Trino, or equivalents.
• Hands-on experience with Helm and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong autonomy and the ability to handle large, ambiguous tasks independently.
• Willingness to relocate to Cyprus.

Nice to have

• Experience with Iceberg, DataGov, or similar data catalog solutions.
• Proven experience migrating analytical tools like Tableau.
