TL;DR
Senior Software Engineer (FastAPI & AI): Building and enhancing AI features for an e-commerce visual solution with an accent on async Python, high-performance private APIs, and service integration. Focus on scaling FastAPI services, optimizing bottlenecks using Datadog, and delivering high-quality image and video generation pipelines.
Location: Must be based in Europe (remote with monthly visits to Paris) or based in Paris. Relocation support available to France.
Salary: 100k – 110k EUR + Stock-Options/BSPCE

What you will do
- Implement and improve AI features such as Logo maker and AI image/video generation within the app.
- Design and architect new features by chaining internal and external services to generate high-quality visuals.
- Monitor and scale FastAPI services, using Datadog to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
- Implement smart caching of pipeline steps to optimize system speed and reliability.
- Collaborate with the AI Tools squad to deliver end-to-end product improvements.
Requirements
- Strong practical expertise with FastAPI or similar async Python HTTP frameworks.
- Deep understanding of asyncio, including identifying blocking calls and protecting the event loop.
- Experience designing and updating internal REST APIs operating at scale.
- Proficiency in integration testing for large Python projects and wiring multiple external APIs.
- Must be based in or relocating to Europe.
- Visa sponsorship is available only for individuals based in or relocating to France.

- Experience working with AI APIs in production.
- Past experience working in a fast-paced startup environment.
