AI Deployment Engineer (AI - Startups): Partner with frontier startups to deploy hirify.global technology safely and effectively, prototyping prompts, agents, and workflows with an accent on uncovering failure modes and high-impact improvements. Focus on synthesizing insights into reproducible evaluations, benchmarks, and tools that shape research and product roadmaps.

Location: Based in Munich, Germany. Hybrid work model of 3 days in the office per week. Relocation assistance offered. Proficiency in German required.

What you will do

• Work directly with strategic startup customers to understand workflows, failure modes, and improvement opportunities.
• Prototype and iterate on prompts, agents, and workflow designs to unlock value and understand system behavior.
• Synthesize feedback into evals, benchmarks, and technical artifacts for Product and Research teams.
• Build repeatable tools, patterns, and evaluation approaches across use cases.
• Operate with judgment in ambiguous settings, balancing short-term fixes with long-term improvements.
• Build relationships in the startup ecosystem as a technical partner.

Requirements

• Proficiency in German.
• Strong software engineering and AI fundamentals (e.g., startup CTO, software/ML engineer, Data Scientist).
• Experience as technical founder or engineer at early-stage startup.
• Experience building AI applications, agents, or evaluation systems; reasoning about model behavior in complex workflows.
• Comfort with technical users, prototyping, debugging, evaluation design, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Clear communication across audiences; high agency, product sense, bias toward durable improvements.

Nice to have

• Experience shipping production systems end-to-end.
• Familiarity with model training pipelines and reinforcement learning.
