What you will do

• Plan and execute the materials science program, designing experiments and prioritizing technical workloads.
• Own materials characterization, loss modeling, and performance data processing.
• Collaborate with power electronics engineers and customers to define real-world specifications.
• Contribute to government proposals and partner technical discussions.
• Help build and shape the growing R&D team.

Requirements

• PhD in Materials Science, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of post-PhD experience in industry, national labs, or comparable applied R&D environments.
• Hands-on experience with materials characterization tools including VSM, B-H analyzers, and impedance.
• Background in materials processing such as powder synthesis, compaction, heat treatment, or thin-film deposition.
• Strong working knowledge of soft magnetic materials and loss mechanisms.
