What you will do

• Serve as the primary legal advisor to product and engineering teams for blockchain payments.
• Provide guidance on US financial services laws, including money transmission and payments regulation.
• Design and implement internal compliance policies and risk assessment processes.
• Partner with risk and security teams to embed KYC, AML, and sanctions controls into product design.
• Translate regulatory trends into actionable guidance for business and technical teams.
• Manage external counsel for specialized regulatory matters.

Requirements

• J.D. degree and active admission to at least one U.S. state bar.
• 7+ years of legal experience in fintech, payments, banking, or blockchain.
• Deep expertise in US financial services regulation and money transmission frameworks.
• Experience building compliance policies and governance frameworks in a tech context.
• Proven track record advising on blockchain-based payments and stablecoin products.
