Salary: $264,514 - $285,000 per annum

What you will do

• Design and develop distributed services in Rust using async/Tokio, focusing on concurrency and scalability.
• Build and optimize data-processing and transformation pipelines for maximum throughput and memory efficiency.
• Design distributed cluster coordination systems using gossip-based membership and leader-election mechanisms.
• Develop and evolve observability systems including logs, metrics, distributed tracing, and SLO definitions.
• Practice chaos engineering through fault injection and network partitioning to validate system recovery.
• Mentor peers and contribute to technical design documents and RFCs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management, or a closely related field.
• 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in software engineering.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• 3+ years of experience with Rust, including Tokio and asynchronous programming.
• Experience with Apache DataFusion, Apache Arrow, and columnar OLAP databases like ClickHouse.
• Proficiency with Kubernetes, Terraform, and advanced Redis patterns.

Nice to have

• Experience with Ruby for backend and service tooling.
• Proficiency in Java or Kotlin for backend services.
