GCP Cloud Engineer

TL;DR

GCP Cloud Engineer (GCP/DevOps): Designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure solutions within Google Cloud Platform with an accent on infrastructure automation and cloud security. Focus on developing IaC with Terraform, automating CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring compliance with federal security standards in a high-security government environment.

Location: In-Person (5 days/week) in Washington, DC. U.S. citizenship is required

What you will do

• Design and manage secure, scalable cloud infrastructure using GCP.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code (IaC) utilizing Terraform, Deployment Manager, or similar tools.
• Support and automate CI/CD pipeline integration and management.
• Collaborate with software engineers, security personnel, and government stakeholders on deployment workflows.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure cloud services meet SLAs.
• Implement cloud best practices to ensure compliance with federal security standards like FedRAMP and NIST.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship is required; must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret-level security clearance.
• 4+ years of experience in cloud engineering, including at least 2 years specifically on GCP.
• Hands-on experience with Compute Engine, Cloud Functions, VPC, IAM, GKE, and BigQuery.
• Experience with IaC tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, or Cloud Build.
• Solid understanding of Linux systems, networking, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

Nice to have

• GCP Professional Cloud Architect or DevOps Engineer certification.
• Experience with federal government contracts and understanding of ATO processes.
• Familiarity with AWS or Azure platforms.
• Scripting skills in Python, Bash, or Go.
