Engineering Intern

TL;DR

Engineering Intern (Fullstack): Design and develop frontend or backend services for residential EV programs with an accent on integrations with EV providers like Tesla and GM, data monitoring, internal tooling, and reporting. Focus on building scalable solutions, ensuring security posture, and contributing to platform flexibility under real-world constraints.

Base Salary Range: $25 - $25 USD (hourly)

What you will do

• Develop Kotlin-based or Ruby on Rails backend solutions with well-structured code and automated testing.
• Build React frontend solutions for EV drivers and utilities.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders on high-impact EV platform projects.
• Work within constraints to create flexible, scalable services including OEM integrations and new features.
• Contribute to CI/CD best practices, data modeling, and iterative development like PoCs and prototyping.
• Participate in technical culture, write documentation, and embody "Dev Owns Quality".

Requirements

• Must be available from July to December.
• Eager to learn and act as full-stack engineer focused on application development, integrations, and tooling.
• Experience with full SDLC.
• Experience with Java, Kotlin and/or Ruby on Rails, and React.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
• No sponsorship for employment authorization or immigration support available.

Nice to have

• Data engineering experience with pipelines, monitoring, and data quality.
• Relational databases, SQL, S3, MongoDB, AWS, DBT, Snowflake.
• Web services, RESTful APIs, CI/CD, modern dev practices, security best practices.
