TL;DR

Component Lifecycle & Obsolescence Manager (Supply Chain/MedTech): Protecting supply continuity by proactively managing component end-of-life (EOL) and obsolescence risk across the product portfolio with an accent on run-out analysis and last-time buy recommendations. Focus on coordinating cross-functional redesigns with engineering and managing supplier relationships to prevent supply disruptions for life-saving medical devices.

Salary: $134,400.00 to $201,500.00

What you will do

  • Own the EOL and obsolescence management process for all electronic, electromechanical, and custom components.
  • Develop run-out analyses and last-time buy (LTB) recommendations aligned with product roadmaps and forecast demand.
  • Partner with Engineering to evaluate alternate components and align redesign timelines with component lifecycle risk.
  • Collaborate with Quality and Regulatory teams to ensure lifecycle decisions support compliance and documentation requirements.
  • Establish and continuously improve standardized processes to strengthen visibility of lifecycle risks over a 12–36-month horizon.
  • Negotiate with international suppliers to influence LTB deadlines and product availability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, or Component Engineering.
  • No immigration sponsorship required now or in the future (e.g., H1B, TN, STEM, OPT).
  • Experience in medical devices, electronics manufacturing, or other regulated industries.
  • Familiarity with ERP, PLM, and lifecycle tracking tools.
  • Strong analytical and data management skills for inventory analysis and scenario modeling.
