What you will do

• Design and deliver performant backend services using Go, ensuring clean and maintainable code.
• Contribute to software architecture, API design (REST/gRPC), and technical code reviews.
• Build and operate containerized services on Kubernetes and Docker with integrated CI/CD pipelines.
• Implement security-first architectures, including authentication, authorization, and data-protection flows.
• Model healthcare and research data using PostgreSQL with a focus on scalability and integrity.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet GDPR/HIPAA compliance and clinical requirements.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional backend engineering experience with strong production Go (Golang) expertise.
• Proficiency with Kubernetes, Docker, and PostgreSQL (including query optimization).
• Hands-on experience with FHIR (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources) and healthcare data modeling.
• Experience designing REST and gRPC APIs at scale.
• Knowledge of secure software design and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• English: Professional written and spoken proficiency required.
• Location: Must be based in Ukraine.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Experience in regulated environments such as GDPR, HIPAA, or ISO 27001.
• Experience with observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or OpenTelemetry.
• Previous experience in staff-augmentation or embedded-consultant models.
