Test Developer- Fall 2026 Co-op (QA)

TL;DR

Location: Must be able to work in-person from a hirify.global office in Kitchener, Ontario or Vancouver, British Columbia

Salary: $960 — $1,440 CAD per week

What you will do

• Take charge of the team's overall quality strategy to optimize for quality early in the development process.
• Design and write automated tests and contribute to automation frameworks.
• Plan and execute exploratory testing and implement reliability engineering strategies.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to product code to improve software stability.
• Coach team members on quality-related activities to foster a mature quality culture.
• Communicate quality concerns effectively within a cross-functional Agile development team.

Requirements

• Must be currently enrolled in a post-secondary program (Bachelor's degree or diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field) and not graduating before the role starts.
• Able to work 40 hours per week in-person from a hirify.global office.
• Ability to identify defects and design issues during all phases of the software development process.
• Strong critical thinking skills to identify risks and gaps in analysis and test coverage.
• Experience designing effective automation tests.
• High standards for software performance, security, and user advocacy.
