TL;DR

Head of Privacy (AI): Leading the global privacy strategy and acting as the DPO to ensure privacy is embedded into product development with an accent on regulatory compliance and AI governance. Focus on balancing risk with commercial outcomes, designing scalable privacy processes, and advising on responsible data use for AI-driven products.

Location: Hybrid in London (minimum 60% office attendance over a 12-week period)

Salary: £115,000 – £140,000

What you will do

  • Lead and shape the global privacy strategy and act as the appointed Data Protection Officer (DPO).
  • Embed privacy by design and by default into the product development lifecycle, partnering with Product and Engineering teams.
  • Advise on governance, risk assessment, and responsible data use for AI and machine learning products.
  • Oversee core privacy operations, including DPIAs, ROPA, data subject rights, and incident response.
  • Build scalable, efficient privacy processes suited to a high-growth, product-led environment.
  • Act as the primary contact point for supervisory authorities such as the ICO.

Requirements

  • Significant experience in a privacy leadership role, ideally as a DPO or equivalent.
  • Deep knowledge of UK/EU data protection regulations (UK GDPR, EU GDPR, ePrivacy) applied in a commercial context.
  • Experience partnering with Product, Engineering, and Security teams in fast-paced environments.
  • Ability to advise on AI governance and emerging regulatory frameworks for advanced data use cases.
  • Experience with adtech, cookies, and tracking technologies.
  • Must be based in or able to work from the London office for at least 60% of the time.
