AI Security Specialist (AI)

Location: Hybrid role based at office sites in Leeds, Bristol, Edinburgh, Manchester, or London; at least two days per week or 40% of working time in the office.

Salary: £72,702–£85,000 per annum outside London; £84,051–£95,000 per annum in London.

What you will do

• Shape and embed the AI Security strategy across the organisation.
• Protect the design, development, and use of AI platforms and applications.
• Assess AI security and commission testing and adversarial assessments where required.
• Design and deploy AI-driven capabilities for threat detection, anomaly detection, and incident response.
• Build security controls into AI systems in collaboration with engineering and data teams.
• Advise on security risk, compliance, regulation, and evolving industry standards.

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant experience in artificial intelligence, cyber security, computer science, or a related area.
• 5+ years of cyber security experience, including securing AI systems and/or public cloud applications.
• Strong knowledge of identity and access management, encryption, network security, and secure application design.
• 2+ years of experience in public cloud security engineering and/or operating security tooling such as web application firewalls.
• Knowledge of machine learning concepts, common model architectures, and generative AI capabilities.
• Experience with ISO 27001, NIST, UK GDPR, risk assessments, threat modelling, and security audits.
