Compliance Engineer (AI): Developing and implementing technical compliance frameworks for the EU market with an accent on GDPR, the EU AI Act, and industry-specific regulations like DORA and NIS2. Focus on building compliance-as-code tooling, authoring enterprise-grade technical documentation, and integrating regulatory requirements directly into the product development lifecycle.

Location: Remote-first (Europe). Must be based in EU/EMEA and able to operate within European business timezones. Option to work from offices in London, Dublin, or Warsaw.

What you will do

• Navigate and implement EU regulatory frameworks including GDPR, EU AI Act, DORA, NIS2, and HDS.
• Develop clear, precise technical compliance documentation to earn enterprise trust.
• Build and maintain compliance-as-code tooling to automate monitoring and reduce manual overhead.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and legal teams to embed compliance into the building process.
• Support enterprise sales by responding to security questionnaires and customer compliance queries.

Requirements

• Proven experience working with EU regulatory frameworks (GDPR, EU AI Act, DORA, NIS2, and/or HDS).
• Hands-on experience with ISO 27001, ISO 42001, or the broader ISO 27000 series, including gap analysis and risk assessments.
• Ability to produce technical compliance documentation that stands up to enterprise scrutiny.
• Experience building compliance-as-code tooling to automate monitoring.
• Based in EU/EMEA and able to operate within European business timezones.

Nice to have

• Direct experience in regulated industries such as financial services or telecommunications.
• Familiarity with CIS benchmarks and risk documentation at scale.
• Scripting or engineering background to implement automation.
