Network Engineer (Aerospace)

Network Engineer (Aerospace): Deploying, configuring, and maintaining network infrastructure for production labs, data centers, and cloud environments with an accent on network security and stability. Location: Must be based in Los Angeles, CA. Candidate must be a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR.

Salary: $90,000 – $125,000 + equity

What you will do

• Deploy and maintain switches, routers, and wireless systems across offices, production labs, and data centers.
• Configure and maintain firewalls, VPNs, and other security controls.
• Document network configurations, diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
• Support connectivity and access for corporate IT systems and mission-critical satellite operations.
• Collaborate with IT, Security, and Engineering teams to support technical projects and operational needs.
• Participate in routine network maintenance, upgrades, and change management activities.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in networking architecture, design, implementation, and test automation.
• In-depth knowledge of protocols including BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS, and TCP/IP.
• Experience with logical design models (L2/L3, VPC, VDC, Datacenter Zones, Spanning Tree, VRF, VTP, VLANs).
• Technical knowledge of control protocols (QoS, PfR, PoE, NTP, DHCP), management protocols (CDP, FTP, TFTP, SNMP), and security protocols (SSH, HTTPS, AAA, IPSec, TrustSec).
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering.
• Must be a U.S. Person (citizen, lawful permanent resident, etc.) as defined by ITAR regulations.

Nice to have

• Certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or ITIL Foundations v3.
• Technical certifications including Network+, MCSE, or Security+.
