What you will do

• Develop and own the one-year business case and strategic plan for card acquiring expansion in alignment with the CPO.
• Define the global acquiring expansion roadmap, including the "build vs. partner" strategy for each region.
• Lead the end-to-end process of securing necessary regulatory and card scheme licenses (Visa, Mastercard, etc.).
• Own financial models and maintain full P&L responsibility for the launch and performance of new markets.
• Orchestrate virtual teams across Partnerships, Legal, Compliance, and Product to execute expansion strategies.
• Collaborate with global sales leadership to ensure market readiness and enable the acquisition of new business.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in the international payments industry, with deep domain expertise in card acquiring, issuing, or within major card schemes.
• Deep knowledge of global card scheme rules, interchange mechanics, and the international acquiring landscape.
• Proven track record of developing and executing commercial strategies for international market entry.
• Strong experience with P&L management and building data-driven business cases for significant investments.
• Ability to influence C-suite stakeholders and lead multi-faceted projects without direct managerial authority.
• Direct experience navigating negotiations with financial institutions, regulatory bodies, and securing licenses in multiple jurisdictions.
