TL;DR

Senior Electro-Mechanical Test Engineer (Aerospace): Own kickoff, design, fabrication, build, activation, data collection, and conclusion for development tests and production testing with an accent on electromechanical assemblies for satellites and space systems. Focus on designing test hardware, fixturing, troubleshooting performance issues, leading improvements to testing standards, and mentoring team members.

Location: Los Angeles, CA. Must be a U.S. Person per ITAR regulations

Salary: $140,000 - $175,000 + equity

What you will do

  • Own end-to-end test campaigns including design, fabrication, build, activation, data collection, and results for development and production testing.
  • Design test hardware, fixturing, and tooling using CAD, schematics, electrical analysis, and hand calculations.
  • Activate test assets, operate equipment and instrumentation, execute tests safely, and troubleshoot issues during campaigns.
  • Communicate technical data, findings, and recommendations across all organization levels.
  • Lead improvements to testing standards, create tools, methods, and processes with company-wide impact.
  • Guide and mentor team on designs, workload, scheduling, and communication.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, aerospace, or relevant engineering discipline
  • 5+ years industry experience with electromechanical test, design, and analysis
  • Experience designing, building, testing electromechanical assemblies and fixtures for aerospace or similar applications
  • Proficiency with CAD, FEA, or electrical analysis software
  • Proficiency with test automation and tools like Python, MATLAB, Simulink, C++, LabVIEW
  • Hands-on fabrication, data acquisition, controls, and test equipment experience
  • U.S. Person status required per ITAR (U.S. citizens, permanent residents, or protected individuals)

Nice to have

  • Experience with NX (Unigraphics) and Teamcenter PLM
  • Practical application of GD&T and schematic generation
