Product Applications Engineer

TL;DR

Product Applications Engineer (Thin Film Technologies): Support development and optimization of applications for Ion Beam systems with an accent on process setup, data collection, and troubleshooting. Focus on conducting experiments, process trials, customer demos, and enhancing system performance.

Location: Taiwan - Hsinchu City. Must be able to travel to the USA and within the Asia region ~30% of the time.

What you will do

• Support process setup, data collection, and troubleshooting for Ion Beam systems.
• Assist in experiments, process trials, best known methods (BKM), and customer demos under guidance.
• Maintain knowledge of Ion Beam systems processes, hardware, and diagnostics to enhance performance.
• Monitor process performance, escalate issues, and support root cause analysis.
• Prepare reports, data summaries, and assist in system qualification and validation.
• Assist in customer training activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, Chemistry, and minimum of two years in thin film technologies or related equipment.
• Good spoken and written English communication skills.
• Able to travel to USA and Asia region ~30% of the time.

Nice to have

• Understanding of thin film deposition processes and hardware.
• Experience in semiconductor customer process support.
