TL;DR
.NET Engineer (Customer Recognition): Designing, building and maintaining scalable backend services for AI-driven customer content recognition products with an accent on Web APIs, Azure cloud-native solutions, and CI/CD pipelines. Focus on implementing RESTful APIs, serverless workloads, async messaging, and ensuring high code quality through automated testing and monitoring.
Location: Hybrid in Utrecht (NL)
Salary: €4,931 - €7,043 gross monthly (36-hour week, scale 09)

What you will do
- Design, develop, and maintain Web APIs using C# and .NET 7/8
- Implement clean, testable code with established design patterns and RESTful API contracts including validation and versioning
- Build and operate Azure cloud solutions like App Services, Functions, Service Bus for serverless and event-driven workloads
- Design and maintain Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines using YAML for automated build, test, and deployment
- Support production systems via monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting
- Participate in solution and API design discussions applying software architecture best practices
Requirements
- Strong experience with C# and .NET (7/8) for backend development
- Proven experience building RESTful Web APIs
- Hands-on with Azure Cloud Services (Functions, App Services, Service Bus, Key Vault, Storage, Entra ID)
- Experience with Azure DevOps pipelines (YAML-based CI/CD)
- Solid understanding of software design patterns, backend architecture, and testing (unit, integration, system, performance)
- Approximately 5 years in .NET backend development; Agile/DevOps teams experience
