What you will do

• Lead original research in multi-agent systems, RL for tool use, custom inference, and post-training methods (RLHF, DPO, GRPO).
• Author publications and technical reports for top-tier venues.
• Prototype novel architectures and evaluation methodologies.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to harden research artifacts into production systems.
• Mentor junior researchers and applied AI engineers.

Requirements

• PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, or a related discipline (or equivalent research output).
• Must be based in the United States.
• Strong implementation skills in PyTorch and modern ML tooling.
• Proven track record of translating research into deployed systems.

Nice to have

• Postdoctoral or industry research lab experience.
• Peer-reviewed publications or preprints in relevant AI/ML areas.
• Open-source contributions to widely used ML libraries.
• Experience with reinforcement learning, mechanistic interpretability, or alignment research.
