What you will do

• Lead supplier qualification and drive quality improvement and risk mitigation initiatives in partnership with supply chain and engineering.
• Create supplier quality improvement plans, perform audits, and implement closed-loop corrective actions.
• Execute product quality plans (PQP) and validate process flows, pFMEA, Control Plans, MSA, and SPC.
• Review supplier specifications and drawings with design and manufacturing engineering to reduce deviations and improve inspection effectivity.
• Develop and deploy risk mitigation strategies for new product launches and manage changes in materials or processes.
• Utilize SPC tools and automated data management systems to identify and reduce process control variances.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Supplier Quality Engineer, Quality Engineer, or Manufacturing Engineer.
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T, and metrology for mechanical, electro-mechanical, and electronic components.
• Proven history of effectively identifying and implementing root cause corrective actions.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
• Must be located in Penang, Malaysia.

Nice to have

• ASQ certifications (CSQP, QE, CQM/OE, Lead Auditor).
• Six Sigma Green or Black Belt.
