What you will do

• Lead, support, and develop a team of software engineers through feedback, coaching, performance management, and career development
• Partner with Product and stakeholders to translate priorities into plans, balancing speed, quality, and business impact
• Stay close to architecture, design, and implementation to support engineering judgement and high standards
• Build stable, scalable systems by improving observability, performance, resilience, and operational practices
• Align with Product, Design, and Engineering teams on priorities, dependencies, and risks in fast-moving environments
• Contribute to hiring, onboarding, team design, and process improvements

Requirements

• Proven experience leading and developing software engineers in people management
• Track record delivering production software, balancing execution, quality, and priorities
• Solid technical background in software engineering, platform engineering, or backend systems
• Experience with cloud platforms, infrastructure products, or complex B2B software
• Understanding of modern practices: backend services, APIs, testing, CI/CD, containers, Kubernetes, Docker
• Strong communication to align stakeholders and manage expectations

• Exposure to GPU-intensive, distributed, or performance-sensitive systems
• Experience in high-growth scale-up environments
• Experience hiring and scaling engineering teams
• Familiarity with platform reliability practices like incident response and capacity planning
