What you will do

  • Perform end-to-end Customer & Related Party Screening, including PEP, Adverse Media, and Sanctions alerts.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate financial crime risks and investigate incidents.
  • Partner with the Alert Handling Lead to develop and design new screening rules based on intelligence-led risk indicators.
  • Test and validate existing screening rules using analytics to ensure effectiveness.
  • Maintain the name screening rule library and ensure overall performance accuracy.
  • Act as the primary contact and subject matter expert for name screening stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in Screening, KYC, and financial crime.
  • Working knowledge of the AML/CTF Act and regulatory expectations in the ANZ region.
  • Strong understanding of PEP and Adverse Media screening requirements.
  • Ability to draft policies, procedures, and management reports.
  • Professionalism and discretion when handling confidential and sensitive matters.
  • Must have valid working rights for Australia and be based in Sydney.
