Design Engineer with ACTIVE Secret Clearance (US Citizenship REQUIRED)

TL;DR

Design Engineer (Mechanical): Designs major components or portions of functional systems or advanced prototypes with an accent on mechanical primary and secondary structures, 3D modeling, and GD&T. Focus on developing concepts, preparing design reviews, investigating manufacturability factors, and coordinating layouts for assemblies and parts.

Location: Onsite in Grand Prairie, TX (US Citizenship REQUIRED, Active Secret Clearance required to start, no relocation package offered)

Salary: $60/hr - $71/hr W2 (no health benefits/no paid PTO while on contract-an hour worked is an hour paid)

What you will do

• Design major components or portions of functional systems, technically advanced prototypes, or specific products.
• Develop or improve products and facilitate manufacturing operations.
• Create preliminary layouts, sketches, and notes for design proposals; investigate factors like manufacturability, materials, and cost.
• Coordinate with affected organizations, make layouts of assemblies and parts, and check drawings for accuracy and compliance.
• Identify design errors and recommend revisions or improvements.

Requirements

• US Citizenship REQUIRED; Active Secret Clearance required to start
• At least 3 years experience with Creo design
• At least 2 years experience with Windchill PLM/PDM
• Mechanical primary and secondary structures experience
• At least 1 year experience with Concept development and Design review content preparation
• At least 4 years experience creating finished 3D Models
• At least 2 years experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
• At least 2 years experience with Complex Mechanical/Electrical Concepts
