Sr Platform Engineer

TL;DR

Sr Platform Engineer (Kubernetes/CI-CD): Building and operating developer platforms including CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes clusters, and self-service tooling with an accent on security, reliability, and scalability. Focus on designing infrastructure as code, observability frameworks, and SRE practices to enable product teams to deploy healthcare software faster and more securely.

Location: Hybrid in Mississauga; must reside within commutable distance to the office for regular team events. Travel to Mississauga or Salt Lake City offices required for onboarding and team meetings.

Salary: CAD $126,900 - $141,000 + bonus + benefits

What you will do

• Develop and engineer platform capabilities including CI/CD, Kubernetes, APIs, CLIs, and SDKs.
• Operate and maintain platform reliability with SRE practices, on-call response, and post-mortems.
• Drive platform adoption through developer enablement, documentation, and self-service tools.
• Provide technical leadership, set standards, and design system architecture.
• Integrate observability, security, and GitOps for scalable developer platforms.

Requirements

• Reside within commutable distance to Mississauga office for hybrid work and team events.
• Strong proficiency with Kubernetes across full cluster operations and reliability.
• Expert CI/CD pipelines optimized for security, compliance, and developer experience.
• Strong TypeScript/Node.js for production platform services with automated testing.
• Strong IaC (Terraform, Pulumi), GitOps, observability (SLI/SLO), and cloud security practices.
• Strong communication and documentation skills for technical and non-technical audiences.

Nice to have

• AI/ML integration experience with LLM APIs and developer tooling.
• Internal developer platforms, policy-as-code, and compliance (HIPAA, SOC 2).
• Open-source contributions or technical thought leadership.
