Accounts Receivable Associate

TL;DR

Accounts Receivable Associate (Finance): Managing the Order-to-Cash process for a diverse ecosystem of brands with an accent on invoice automation, bank reconciliation, and AR balance analysis. Focus on streamlining financial operations within a Shared Service Centre and implementing continuous process improvements.

Location: Hybrid (Lisbon, Portugal). Must have the right to work in Portugal; relocation and sponsorship are not provided.

What you will do

• Import sales invoices from various billing systems into NetSuite via automated processes.
• Manage automated bank transactions and analyze variances.
• Support direct debit processes and maintain AR balances and suspense accounts.
• Provide reporting and assistance to in-country staff for the collection process.
• Prepare account reconciliations and support group and local audits with standardized reports.
• Contribute to special projects and process improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or similar.
• 1-3 years of relevant experience in Accounts Receivable.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken) is mandatory.
• Good understanding of applicable European GAAP and IFRS.
• Must possess legal eligibility to work in Portugal.

Nice to have

• Experience working in an international Finance environment or Shared Service Centre setup.
• Proficiency in other European languages.
