Java & .NET Developer (Backend): Building and supporting mission-critical cloud-based services for content distribution across platforms like hirify.global Q and hirify.global Glass with an accent on distributed systems and scalability. Focus on enhancing Group Content Platforms, implementing event-driven architectures with Kafka, and maintaining hybrid cloud/on-premise environments.

Location: Hybrid (2 days a week onsite in Osterley, London)

What you will do

• Build, enhance, and maintain cloud-based services for the Group Content Platform.
• Develop distributed systems using Java, Spring, .NET (C#), and AWS to ensure reliability and performance.
• Manage the full software development lifecycle from analysis and design to testing and post-launch support.
• Promote strong engineering standards, clean design, and continuous improvement within the team.
• Collaborate in an Agile (Scrum) team through code reviews and pair programming.
• Support and optimize both cloud-based and legacy on-premise applications to ensure operational stability.

Requirements

• Solid experience building backend services with Java (Spring) and .NET (C#) in production environments.
• Proficiency with SQL (Oracle, SQL Server) and NoSQL (Couchbase) databases.
• Experience with event-driven or asynchronous architectures, specifically using Kafka.
• Hands-on experience with AWS and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of REST APIs, CI/CD, and Agile methodologies.
• Must be based in or able to commute to the Osterley office (London) for hybrid work.
