What you will do

• Secure and optimize power supply by acquiring grid connections for Belgian projects, including areas with high congestion.
• Assess grid constraints and define suitable connection concepts such as dynamic contracts or storage solutions.
• Develop and maintain a practical toolbox of approaches to deal with grid congestion across projects.
• Collaborate with Public Affairs to define strategies toward public and regulatory stakeholders regarding grid capacity.
• Build and manage strategic partnerships with external providers for grid solutions, including pilot initiatives for battery storage and EMS.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure grid solutions are reflected in project scope, budget, and timeline.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in the energy sector or related infrastructure projects.
• Engineering background in electrical, energy, industrial, or similar fields.
• Proven project management experience coordinating multiple stakeholders and deliverables.
• Fluent in French and Dutch.
• Strong commercial judgement to evaluate the cost, risk, and impact of technical options.

Nice to have

• Direct experience working at or with a grid operator.
• Experience with Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), EMS, or other flexibility solutions.
