Principal Business Architect (Enterprise Architecture)

TL;DR

Principal Business Architect (Enterprise Architecture): Designing and producing technical and business analysis products for the US Army's Installation Management and Logistics domains with an accent on business process re-engineering and compliance support. Focus on developing architectural diagrams, technical modeling, and actionable recommendations for modernization and cloud migration.

Location: Remote, but must reside within the National Capital Region and be within commuting distance of Arlington, VA for ad hoc on-site support

Salary: $155,000 - $165,000

What you will do

• Generate integrated design views of Installation Management and Logistics business operations.
• Develop architecture and design models using SysML 1.3, BPMN 2.0, and UML 2.3 standards.
• Ensure government compliance with Federal, DoD, and Army guidance and methodologies.
• Perform annual capability assessments and prepare assertions in AAT, Army EKR, and APMS repositories.
• Document gaps and prepare Change Packages for the Army EKR configuration control board.
• Develop BPR compliance plans for installations, energy, environment, and logistics domains.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Process Management, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or higher clearance.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in business enterprise architecture.
• Proven experience in process and portfolio analysis within government agencies.
• Must live within the National Capital Region and within commuting distance of Arlington, VA.
• Proficiency in government-specific business process modeling tools (e.g., BPMN).
