TL;DR

Data Architect (Databricks / AWS): Defining and guiding the evolution of the data ecosystem on Databricks and AWS with an accent on scalable data models and architecture patterns. Focus on designing Medallion architecture, establishing data governance standards, and integrating AI/ML/RAG systems.

Location: Work From Home (100%) or onsite in global offices (Regular Peru/Piura)

What you will do

• Define and evolve enterprise data architecture on Databricks and AWS.
• Design scalable patterns for ELT/ETL and Medallion architecture using Delta Lake.
• Establish data modeling standards, naming conventions, and data contracts.
• Provide architectural guidance for shared data products and cross-team initiatives.
• Define best practices for Databricks environment design and secure data access patterns.
• Mentor engineers and analysts on architectural best practices.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience as a Data Architect.
• Deep expertise with Databricks and Delta Lake.
• Strong knowledge of AWS (compute, storage, IAM, VPCs).
• Proven experience designing scalable data architectures and models.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Unity Catalog or similar data governance tools.
• Familiarity with AI/ML and RAG-based architectures.
• Exposure to DataOps or platform governance practices.
