What you will do

• Design and deliver core structural simulation capabilities within the Crash & Safety R&D team.
• Implement high-quality software in C++ and Python, ensuring clean architecture, testing, and documentation.
• Optimize HPC scaling using multithreading, distributed memory (MPI), and GPU acceleration.
• Advance capabilities in nonlinear behavior, contact mechanics, and transient/explicit dynamics.
• Collaborate with product, QA, and application engineering teams to ensure industrial robustness and customer impact.

Requirements

• MEng/PhD in Mechanical or Civil Engineering or a closely related field.
• Strong foundation in continuum mechanics and FEA theory.
• Hands-on experience with transient analysis and numerical methods.
• Proficiency in modern C++ or Python.
• English: Clear communication skills required.
• Location: Must be based in or able to work onsite in Greece.

Nice to have

• Experience with commercial FEA codes such as LS-DYNA, Abaqus, Nastran, or OptiStruct.
• Proficiency with Linux, Git, CMake, and unit testing.
• Knowledge of performance optimization, including vectorization and lock-free design.
• Experience with OpenMP, MPI, CUDA, or OpenCL.
• Knowledge of ANSA, META, or SPDRM user workflows.
