TL;DR
Software Engineer (Java) (iGaming): Building and maintaining Java-based functionality, RESTful applications, and cloud-hosted gaming platform services with an accent on clean code, testing, reliability, and performance. Focus on designing microservices-oriented solutions, refactoring existing code, and delivering robust products incrementally in agile sprints.
Location: Hybrid work in Athens, Greece or Sofia, Bulgaria; the position may be filled in either location.

What you will do
- Design and develop functionality using established coding standards and patterns.
- Write unit and integration tests and participate in code reviews.
- Contribute across the full software development life cycle.
- Design, build, and run products and services hosted on-premises and in the cloud.
- Review and refactor code to improve platform reliability, robustness, performance, and operability.
- Deliver incremental value within an agile, self-organizing team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related scientific or engineering field.
- At least 2 years of software development experience with Java.
- At least 2 years of experience working in agile teams.
- Experience developing RESTful applications with Spring Boot or related frameworks.
- Experience with relational databases and non-relational databases, including SQL, DDL, and ACID concepts.
- Comfort working in Unix/Linux environments and excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Nice to have
- Experience with Amazon Web Services.
- Experience developing microservices with Docker containers.
- Experience with DevOps tools such as Maven and Jenkins.
