Software Engineer (Java/iGaming): Building and maintaining Java-based functionality, products, and services for a large-scale online gaming platform with an accent on RESTful applications, database integration, testing, and code quality. What you will do
- Design and develop functionality using established coding standards and patterns, writing clean Java code.
- Write unit and integration tests and participate in code reviews.
- Contribute across all stages of the software development lifecycle.
- Design, build, and run on-premises and cloud-hosted products and services within a self-organizing agile team.
- Review and refactor existing code to improve platform reliability, robustness, performance, and operability.
- Deliver business value incrementally in sprints while maintaining product and service quality.
Requirements
- B.Sc. degree in Computer Science or a related scientific or engineering field.
- Demonstrable knowledge of Java and 3+ years of software development experience using Java.
- 3+ years of experience working in agile teams.
- Experience developing RESTful applications with Spring Boot or related frameworks.
- Experience working with relational databases and SQL, DDL, and ACID concepts, as well as non-relational databases.
- Comfort working in Unix/Linux environments.
- Team spirit, self-motivation, drive for excellence, and passion for technology.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Nice to have
- Experience with Amazon Web Services.
- Experience developing microservices architectures using Docker containers.
- Experience with DevOps and tools such as Maven and Jenkins.
