Data Engineer (GCP)

TL;DR

Data Engineer (GCP/Spark): Building and optimizing data platform engineering features for a cloud cost management platform with an accent on scalable data pipelines and delivery architecture. Focus on automating manual processes, re-designing infrastructure for scalability, and implementing high-performance ETL using BigQuery and Spark.

Location: Hybrid; must work from the assigned office a minimum of 3 days per week (based in Poland)

What you will do

• Design and build scalable data solutions and pipelines to clean, transform, and aggregate data from disparate sources.
• Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architectures to ensure consistent delivery throughout projects.
• Automate manual processes and re-design infrastructure to improve operational efficiency and scalability.
• Build infrastructure for ETL processes using GCP BigQuery and Spark.
• Develop analytics tools to provide actionable insights into business performance metrics.
• Collaborate with Executive, Product, Data, and Design teams to resolve technical issues and support infrastructure needs.

Requirements

• Must be based in Poland and able to work from the office 3+ days per week.
• 3+ years of industry or academic experience working with large-scale datasets.
• Expert proficiency in SQL.
• Experience with Scala or Java, and scripting experience with Python or NodeJS.
• Hands-on experience with GCP (BigQuery, Dataproc, Dataflow/Fusion).
• Experience with Big Data tools such as Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Experience with visualization software like Tableau.
• Knowledge of frontend frameworks such as React.
