What you will do

• Build and mentor an in-house team of technicians, including recruiting and training staff to create a culture of safety and reliability.
• Oversee the installation and start-up of new production equipment, managing Factory and Site Acceptance Testing (FAT/SAT).
• Take ownership of equipment uptime and reliability, leading problem-solving and continuous improvement projects.
• Manage relationships with equipment suppliers and negotiate service contracts and support agreements.
• Collaborate with production teams to ensure equipment consistently meets service level agreements (SLAs) and customer commitments.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance or engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven leadership experience managing maintenance technicians or engineering teams.
• Demonstrated ability to install and commission production equipment with strong troubleshooting skills.
• Exposure to automated manufacturing or industrial production systems.
• Must be based in or have the right to work in Australia.

Nice to have

• Engineering qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics.
