What you will do

• Lead end-to-end solution architecture for data and analytics platforms using GCP services.
• Design scalable, high-performance data solutions and define architecture standards and governance frameworks.
• Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines for both batch and real-time processing.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Integrate AI/ML capabilities and apply data mesh and domain-driven design principles to enable decentralized data ownership.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams.

Requirements

• Strong experience in Data Warehousing (Star/Snowflake, Medallion, Data Vault).
• Hands-on expertise in GCP, including BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, Composer (Airflow), and Dataflow/Dataproc.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Proven experience designing enterprise-scale data platforms and understanding of distributed systems.
• Strong knowledge of cloud architecture and data security (IAM, governance).
• Understanding of AI/ML use cases and familiarity with GCP AI tools like Vertex AI.

Nice to have

• GCP Certifications (Professional Data Engineer or Cloud Architect).
• Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid environments.
• Exposure to BI tools such as Tableau, ThoughtSpot, or Power BI.
• Knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps practices.
