What you will do

• Lead the aerodynamic design of axial and centrifugal compressor stages, including flowpath geometry and airfoil profiles.
• Conduct CFD simulations to optimize efficiency, pressure ratio, and flow capacity while analyzing shock structures and losses.
• Assess and improve compressor operability, focusing on surge and stall margins and stability analysis.
• Collaborate with mechanical and system teams to ensure aerodynamic compatibility with combustors, turbines, and inlets.
• Support compressor rig and engine testing by defining instrumentation requirements and analyzing test data.
• Drive innovation and provide technical leadership within the compressor module.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering.
• 7–12 years of experience in compressor aerodynamic design.
• Strong expertise in turbomachinery aerodynamics and performance analysis.
• Proficiency with CFD tools such as NUMECA, ANSYS Fluent, or CFX.
• Experience with meanline and throughflow design tools (NREC, AXSTREAM, ADT).
• Must be based in or able to work onsite in Abu Dhabi, AE.

Nice to have

• Experience with small turbojet and Turbofan engines.
• Experience with multi-stage axial compressors.
