TL;DR

Cyber Security Officer, Junior (Cybersecurity): Maintaining operational security posture for information systems to ensure security policies and standards are followed with an accent on vulnerability management and incident response. Focus on performing IA/CND functions, conducting security assessments, and documenting System Security Plans.

Location: On-site in Reston, VA. Must have an active TS/SCI Clearance.

What you will do

• Perform Information Assurance (IA) and Computer Network Defense (CND) functions.
• Maintain operational security posture and ensure compliance with security policies, standards, and procedures.
• Conduct vulnerability and risk assessment analysis to support certification and accreditation.
• Manage configuration changes for security software, hardware, and firmware.
• Prepare and review documentation including System Security Plans (SSPs) and Risk Assessment Reports.
• Support 24x7x365 cybersecurity operations, threat intelligence, and incident response.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI Clearance required.
• Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of relevant experience.
• CompTIA CySA+ or equivalent IAT Level II certification.
• Experience with threat intelligence, event analysis, and incident response.
• Understanding of classified Government networks and technology stacks.
• Experience using incident case management systems and following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Nice to have

• Security certifications: CCNA Security, SSCP, or equivalent.
• AWS or Cloud certifications.
