TL;DR

Senior Embedded Software Designer (C++/Python): Designing, implementing, and validating embedded software for MineStar onboard applications on mining machinery with an accent on real-time machine guidance and tracking. Focus on developing high-precision GNSS integration, productivity monitoring, and safety functions within an Agile environment.

Location: Onsite in Laval, QC (Canada)

What you will do

  • Analyze and define requirements in collaboration with customers and System Architects.
  • Design, implement, and test software modules according to requirement specifications.
  • Drive design consistency across various products.
  • Write and review engineering documentation, including specifications, design, and validation.
  • Stay current with industry trends and technology breakthroughs through continuous learning.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in C++ and Python programming languages.
  • Experience developing and debugging software in Linux embedded environments.
  • Strong knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile/SAFe methodologies.
  • Experience with version control and cloud tools: Git, GitHub, and Azure.
  • Must be based in or have work authorization for Canada (No sponsorship available).
  • Ability to work onsite five days a week in Laval, QC.

Nice to have

  • Web development experience with HTML5 and Angular.
  • Knowledge of Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS).
  • Experience with automated test frameworks and DevOps practices (CI/CD pipelines).
  • Familiarity with object-oriented design patterns.
  • Experience with CMake, unit testing, and static code analysis tools.
