TL;DR

IP Software Generalist (AI/RISC-V): Develop and optimize software stack for IP customers to integrate AI and RISC-V hardware into their systems with an accent on firmware, drivers, SDKs, and tools. Focus on diagnosing hardware-software interactions, building reference integrations, and ensuring scalability across diverse architectures.

Location: Hybrid, based out of Austin, TX; Toronto, ON; or Santa Clara, CA

Compensation: $100k - $500k including base and variable

What you will do

  • Develop, optimize, and maintain software components for hardware IP offerings.
  • Build reference software, SDKs, and toolchains to streamline customer integration.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex hardware/software issues during customer bring-up and deployment.
  • Create high-quality documentation, test suites, and integration guides.
  • Partner with hardware, architecture, IP delivery, and customer support teams.

Requirements

  • Eligible to access U.S. export-controlled technology (contingent on citizenship, permanent residency, or license approval)
  • Strong foundation in C/C++, system programming, and low-level software design.
  • Background in firmware, device drivers, embedded systems, or hardware-software co-design.
  • Skilled in troubleshooting complex full-stack software environments.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and external customers on integration challenges.
  • Able to balance hands-on coding with architectural problem-solving.
