What you will do

• Integrate third-party geospatial data sources from various geographic areas into data pipelines.
• Develop and optimize geographic data processing pipelines to improve coverage and polygon precision.
• Inspect and edit geospatial data using open-source tools.
• Collaborate with other engineering teams to provide tailored geospatial data solutions.
• Implement automated quality metrics to ensure the delivery of high-quality data.
• Mentor other software engineers through design and code reviews.

Requirements

• 5+ years of industry experience working with data pipelines.
• Proficiency in Python or Java for data processing.
• Expertise with GIS tools and processes (e.g., QGIS, PostGIS, GDAL/OGR, GeoJSON).
• Experience with AWS technologies such as S3 and Athena.
• Strong knowledge of SQL databases and bash scripting.
• Must be authorized to work in the US (E-Verify participant).

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Iceberg, Glue, and AWS Step Functions.
• Experience with Docker and CI/CD processes.
• Experience integrating and querying data via APIs.
