TL;DR

Global Head of Compliance Policy & Oversight (Legal/Compliance): Providing enterprise-wide strategic leadership for compliance policy and oversight to mitigate regulatory risks across all regions and business lines with an accent on regulatory policy strategy and financial crime oversight. Focus on designing governance models for policy frameworks and establishing data-led approaches to policy adherence for Executive and Board reporting.

Location: Hybrid - Must be based in London or Nottingham, UK (40% office attendance required)

What you will do

  • Set and direct the enterprise compliance policy and oversight strategy, aligning with risk appetite and business objectives.
  • Design the governance model for regulatory and financial crime policy frameworks, including assurance and escalation mechanisms.
  • Oversee the sanctions risk management framework in partnership with Group Risk, Fraud, and Regional Compliance teams.
  • Establish a data-led approach to policy adherence by defining KRIs/KPIs and directing MI dashboards for the Board.
  • Provide authoritative regulatory interpretation guidance and adjudicate material policy issues and deviations.
  • Champion a strong compliance culture globally through leadership, coaching, and cross-regional knowledge sharing.

Requirements

  • Deep experience in Compliance, Legal, or Regulatory functions within complex global organizations.
  • Professional background in the financial services sector.
  • Proven track record of engaging and influencing at the Executive, Board, and C-suite levels.
  • Expert knowledge of regulatory compliance and financial crime risks, specifically sanctions and ABC.
