About the Role

You will design and implement secure, cloud-native data storage and access solutions, build and maintain resilient ETL/ELT pipelines for streaming and batch workloads, and create data access layers such as APIs and streaming services. You will drive data governance and quality practices, support MLOps activities including model versioning and containerization, and build monitoring and alerting to optimize performance and reliability.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Data Science
• 5+ years of professional experience in data engineering or a related role
• Strong proficiency in Python and testing frameworks such as pytest
• Experience with ORMs (e.g., SQLAlchemy)
• Proven experience architecting scalable SQL and NoSQL schemas and managing database lifecycles
• Expertise in query tuning, indexing, and execution plan analysis to maximize performance
• Experience with cloud-based databases (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure Database) and configuring backups and compute
• Experience building data orchestration with frameworks such as Dagster or Apache Airflow
• Familiarity with real-time streaming technologies and maintaining data health for streaming and batch
• Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines and producing maintainable code

Responsibilities

• Architect secure cloud-based data storage solutions
• Design and implement schemas for multi-tenant environments ensuring data accessibility and security
• Develop, deploy, and maintain resilient ETL/ELT pipelines for real-time streaming and batch processing
• Build and manage data access layers including REST APIs and streaming services
• Recommend tools, processes, and best practices for data governance, health, integrity, and security
• Support AI operations by managing model versioning, containerization, and deployment
• Build monitoring and alerting systems to track data health and system performance and remediate bottlenecks
