What you will do

• Embed with pre-training ML and Data teams to identify high-leverage gaps and increase research velocity.
• Drive end-to-end execution of complex cross-team initiatives spanning data, architecture, and evaluation.
• Coordinate experiment prioritization, run scheduling, and checkpoint handoffs.
• Provide technical recommendations to leadership based on deep analysis of tradeoffs.
• Build lightweight coordination systems for config management and research milestones.
• Act as the connective tissue between pre-training, mid-training, post-training, and infrastructure teams.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in technical program management, research operations, or ML engineering.
• Deep technical understanding of model architecture, scaling laws, and training dynamics.
• Proven ability to build trust and efficiency within highly technical research teams.
• High agency and ability to navigate ambiguity in high-stakes environments.
• Strong stakeholder management skills to influence senior technical staff.
• Must be based in or relocate to New York for on-site work.
